​​Michael Head's knowledge from 40+ years' experience enables him to assess the condition of existing buildings - including old, historic buildings - to provide information crucial when determining whether to buy or sell a property or in considering the available options for expansion, change of occupancy or function.

​He has also gained a keen understanding of the design and construction process regarding the responsibilities of the engineers, architects, contractors and owners in the development and execution of the project.

The basis of Michael's experience comes from his immersion in the design and construction of buildings and structural components for many different facilities for a wide range of functions throughout his career.

This familiarity comes from his having experienced every level of the design and construction process from client liaison, production of calculations and construction documents, understanding and implementation of building codes, to working with architects and other consultants, understanding the intricacies of construction companies and sub-contractors and knowing how a building is built.

​He is available to assist on projects large and small for peer reviews of the design or constructability of a building, design of remedial measures when a building needs to be repaired or upgraded through a change of use, consultation for contractual or construction practices or any other facet of the design and construction of a structure.
